Festival in a Van (FIAV) is seeking to appoint a full-time Director to meet the increasing demand for its services and to enhance its offerings to meet new challenges. As the sole employee of the company, the Director will work with a core team of freelance professionals and will be responsible for finance and budgeting, producing and scheduling, ideas generation, and collaboration with a wide range of partners and end-users.
The responsibilities of the role include programming, financial management, funding and stakeholders, programme development, team management, web and social media management, and other duties as required.
The ideal candidate for the role should have experience in arts or not-for-profit environments, with at least two years’ experience in financial management. They should also have demonstrated capability in identifying and sourcing funding and delivering projects on budget. Additionally, they should possess administrative ability, problem-solving skills, production and technical knowledge in event management, and the ability to maximise private sources of income.
Personal qualities required for the role include initiative, the ability to interact with a wide range of individuals and organisations, flexibility, adaptability, and a commitment to equity and inclusion.
