
Melanie O'Reilly trio with Frank Martin
Melanie O'Reilly and Frank Martin are known as one of the most formidable vocal/piano duos in California's Bay Area. As part of Dublin's St Patrick's Day celebrations, they will team up again on Tuesday March 5th in Arthur's.
Together, they will perform their unique, exciting and exhilarating fusion of two great traditions - Jazz and Celtic.
Their repertoire will include original compositions inspired by Irish literary figures including James Joyce, Nuala Ní Dhomhnaill and Seán Ó Ríordáin, as well as the duo's unique take on jazz standards.
They will be joined at Arthur's by Dublin's Cormac O'Brien (bass) and Myles Drennan (drums).

Melanie O'Reilly
Melanie is an international figure in the world of Celtic music and jazz, having performed in venues including the Lincoln Center, Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Schoenberg Hall (Los Angeles), Cork Jazz Festival and World Music Festival "d'Ici et D'Ailleurs" in France. Her unique style fuses traditional Celtic melodies, American jazz and Latin music. Her original compositions are inspired by literary figures like James Joyce, and lyrics based on contemporary Irish poems. She is also the creator, host and co-producer of the award-winning series Jazz on the Bay, broadcast on RTE Radio 1.

Frank Martin
Frank is a highly renowned pianist and arranger who hails from Northern California. He has performed or recorded with an extraordinary collection of musicians including Herbie Hancock, Stevie Wonder, John McLaughlin, James Taylor, Larry Coryell, Narada Michael Walden, Bruce Springsteen, Whitney Houston, George Benson, Randy Brecker and Wayne Shorter. Frank is currently on tour with José Neto's NetoBand and will play London's legendary Ronnie Scott's just before Arthur's.
